KORONADAL CITY, Philippines – The city government has increased to P250,000 the reward for any information leading to the arrest of the men who robbed a pawnshop here more than a week ago.
Mayor Peter Miguel initially offered P50,000 but increased the amount last Saturday after the police failed to arrest the remaining five suspects who broke into the Agencia Brillantes on Osmeña street last Sept. 18 and took P600,000 worth of jewelry.
The alleged leader of the group, Khadafy Guiamelon, was arrested three days after the incident.
Two security guards were killed, and two responding watchmen were shot and wounded when they tried to prevent the robbers from fleeing.
