Abra declares state of calamity

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – The provincial government of Abra has placed the province under a state of calamity due to damage caused by Tropical Storm Mario.
Provincial board member Cathrine Maria Galbin said Mario left at least P346-million damage to the province’s agriculture and infrastructure.
The provincial disaster risk reduction and management council said two persons remain missing after floodwaters swept them away in Tubo and Danglas towns.
