Free phone calls for Cainta, Marikina flood victims

MANILA, Philippines - Globe Telecom set up Libreng Tawag stations in Cainta, Rizal and Marikina City over the weekend to assist residents affected by Storm Mario.

The two areas were placed under a state of calamity due to floods spawned by the storm.

The Libreng Tawag centers were placed in evacuation sites at Nangka Elementary School and H. Bautista Elementary School in Marikina and at Kabisig Elementary School and Barangay Anak Pawis 1 Covered Court in Cainta.

Cainta and Marikina City are prone to flooding due to their proximity to the Marikina River.

Globe provides help to Filipinos affected by disasters through relief operations and communication activities through its Bangon Pinoy program.
