MANILA, Philippines - The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is providing a window period for the 236 provincial public utility buses coming from Southern Luzon, Bicol and Visayas to enter or leave their common terminals located within Metro Manila.
The LTFRB issued a memorandum circular allowing provincial public utility buses previously identified to drop and pick up passengers in their respective terminals between 12 midnight and 4 a.m. from Monday to Sunday.
“Matapos naming pag-aralan ang sitwasyon at mabigyang ng maayos na paglalakbay ang ating mga pasahero from the South, pansamantala nating papayagan ang mga bus na manggagaling sa South at Bicol region na magbaba at magsakay ng mga pasahero sa kani-kanilang mga terminal located in Metro Manila sa nakatakdang oras lamang,” LTFRB Chair Winston Ginez said.
Ginez added that the board has coordinated with Metro Manila Development Authority to implement the new circular which will take effect immediately upon publication in national dailies this week.
The window period will also end once the South Integrated Transport System (ITS) located in FTI Taguig is established under Executive Order no. 67, which provides for the establishment of the ITS in the north and south of Metro Manila.
