LAGUNA, Philippines – An owner of a gun store was shot dead allegedly by a tricycle driver along San Vicente road in San Pedro City Thursday night.

Superintendent Fernando Ortega, city police chief, said Eric Bugarin was in his car when he was shot at around 9:45 p.m.

Before he died at the Medical Center Muntinlupa hospital, Bugarin was able to identify his assailant as Ricardo Mendoza.

Ortega said investigators learned that the victim and Mendoza had an old grudge. Murder charges would be filed against the suspect, who is at large.
