Man kills son in gun accident

SANTIAGO, Agusan del Norte, Philippines – A man cleaning a gun accidentally shot his son dead here last Friday.

Marvin Estores, 50, surrendered to the authorities after the incident that occurred in their home in Barangay Jagupit.

Police Officer 3 Rolando Betarmos said Estores was cleaning a caliber .45 pistol when the gun went off, hitting his son Jayson, 24, in the head.

Police have yet to identify the owner of the gun.
