Ric Sapnu, - The Philippine Star

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – The chief of police of Malolos City, Bulacan was ordered removed from his post after two of his men were tagged in the kidnapping of a Chinese man.

The order was issued yesterday by Chief Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, who heads Police Regional Office 3, against Superintendent Donato Bait, who surrendered his men – Police Officer 1 Danilo Sytamco Jr. and Police Officer 3 Zerzes Martin – to the Northern Police District.

Sytamco and Martin reportedly snatched Lin Hang Zhang in Caloocan last week.

Lin, who managed to escape after his captors fell asleep, told investigators that the suspects demanded from him P8 million, otherwise he would be framed for drug charges.

Petrasanta said he ordered Bulacan police director Senior Superintendent Ferdinand Divina to investigate the incident to determine whether other non-commissioned officers were involved.
