MANILA, Philippines - Three mild earthquakes rocked parts of the Visayas yesterday, state seismologists said.
The quakes, with magnitudes 3.9, 3.2 and 2.7, struck at 9:10 a.m., 9:33 a.m., and 4:27 p.m. respectively, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
The epicenter of the magnitude 3.9 quake was traced some 14 kilometers northwest of Burauen, Leyte. It was felt at Intensity 4 in Burauen and Dagami, Leyte and Intensity 3 in Tacloban City and Pastrana, Leyte.
The magnitude 3.2 quake struck some five kilometers southeast of Catigbian, Bohol, and was felt at Intensity 3.
The quake that struck some 57 kms northwest of San Jose, Antique was felt at Intensity 2.
