MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City Police District has arrested the alleged mastermind in the killing of international race car driver Ferdinand "Enzo" Pastor during an operation in Muntinlupa City.
Police have yet to name the arrested suspect, a radio report said.
The report said that police recovered several firearms and cash from the suspect, who is reportedly a businessman from Parañaque City.
It added that the suspect was pinned to the killing of Pastor by the alleged gunman, Police Officer 2 Edgar Angel of Pasay City.
Angel reportedly admitted that the businessman paid him P100,000 to kill Pastor.
Pastor, who was with a friend, was gunned down in Quezon City last June 12 while driving and on his way to a racing event.
