Village chief dies in mishap

SISON, Pangasinan, Philippines   – A village chairman died when a van hit his motorcycle in Barangay Agat here Sunday.

Julio Quidangen, 65, of Barangay Sagunto, was declared dead on arrival at the Rosario Emergency Hospital in La Union.

Investigation showed that Quidangen was crossing a bridge at around 2:30 a.m. when he figured in the accident.

Van driver Joel Orquina, 42, surrendered to the police.
