PAGBILAO, Quezon, Philippines – Two men died while another was injured when the tower of an emergency restoration equipment of the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines collapsed here last Friday.
Linemen Abel Saburao and Jeffrey Rivera were pronounced dead on arrival at the Jane County Hospital in this town while their companion Sandy Formentera was transferred to the Quezon Memorial Center (QMC) in Lucena City for treatment.
Chief Inspector Von June Nuyda, town police chief, said the victims were repairing power lines in Barangay Ibabang Palsabangon when the accident occurred at around 4 p.m.
