MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 4.8 earthquake rattled parts of Sarangani in Davao Occidental yesterday, but caused no damage or injuries, state seismologists said.
The tremor occurred at 1:12 a.m. with its epicenter located 86 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
It was reportedly felt at Intensity 2 in Glan town.
The agency said it also recorded small tremors – ranging from magnitudes 1.5 to 3.6 – in Mati, Davao Oriental; Maasin, Southern Leyte; San Jose, Mindoro Occidental; Bolinao, Pangasinan and Mabini, Batangas.
