Another GV Florida bus figures in mishap

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Another bus of the controversial GV Florida Bus Co. figured in a vehicular accident that left a motorcycle driver wounded in Cordon, Isabela late last week.

Nelson Licod, 21, was rushed to the hospital after the bus reportedly hit his motorcycle in Barangay Laurel at around 4 a.m., said Chief Inspector Rogelio Taliping, town police chief.

Bus driver Romando Rodrigo, 39, surrendered to the police after the incident.

Last month, a relative of Tuguegarao City Mayor Jefferson Soriano died in a vehicular accident involving a bus of the GV Florida.

In February this year, another bus of the company from a ravine in Bontoc, Mountain Province, leaving 14 persons dead.
