CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines– Authorities are eyeing the so-called “termite boys” in a robbery at a rural bank in Cavite on Friday.
Investigators said they are looking into the possibility that the same group was responsible for the same incident that happened in Batangas earlier.
The heist was discovered by personnel of the Luzon Development Bank in Dasmariñas City at around 7:50 a.m., according to Cavite police director Senior Superintendent Joselito Esquivel. He said the robbers took P700,000 from the vault.
At least three to five men entered the bank by digging a hole under the floor where the vault was located. Esquivel told The STAR there was no security guard on duty when the incident occurred.
