4 hurt in Maguindanao blast
MAGUINDANAO, Philippines – Four persons were wounded when an improvised explosive device went off in Datu Salibo town here Wednesday.
The incident occurred less than 24 hours after members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters simultaneously attacked Army detachments in the nearby Datu Piang town.
Col. Dickson Hermoso, spokesman for the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said the explosion that occurred in the village of Sambolawan might have been meant for a convoy of soldiers.
The bomb exploded after the troops passed the area.
