MANILA, Philippines - A man was injured after being hit by one of the two buses that collided with each other in Mandaluyong City on Monday.
According to reports, the victim, in his early 20s, was waiting for a ride along the southbound lane of Edsa Reliance area when he was hit by a wayward passenger bus.
The victim was immediately brought to the Victor R. Potenciano Medical Center for a head injury, the reports said.
Initial investigation showed that a Dela Rosa Transit bus and GPS Transport were racing to get to passengers at the loading bay, which resulted in the collision.
The Mandaluyong City traffic police have taken bus drivers Emmanuel Malate and Jeffrey Villalba into custody for further investigation.
