MANILA, Philippines – Commuters once again found themselves in the middle of heavy traffic in C5 road corner Ortigas Avenue after six vehicles collided 5 a.m. on Friday.

The accident also hurt two truckers and helper. Some people had no choice but to walk amid the gridlock.

According to reports, the 10-wheeler truck from C5 northbound turned left in a no left turn and no U-turn zone, colliding with a speeding dump truck loaded with sand. Two cabs and two motorcycles were caught in the collision.

The eastbound lane of Ortigas Avenue extension going to Rizal province were closed to traffic, opening the adjacent road to two-way traffic.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the vehicles were removed past 7 a.m.

Last Monday, one person was killed, while five others were wounded after a 14-wheeler truck rammed eight vehicles on the southbound lane of C5 road in Taguig City.
