Slain call center exec’s kin seek justice
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna , Philippines – The parents of a call center supervisor allegedly shot dead by a nurse in Cavite last month is seeking justice for their son.
Couple Pedrito and Fe Melo are urging anybody who has information on the killer of their son, Robert Ryan, to help them.
“We are appealing to the prosecutor handling our son’s case to speed up the issuance of an arrest warrant against the suspect,” Pedrito said.
Robert Ryan was on his way to work when Arvi John Delgra, a registered nurse, allegedly shot him in Bacoor City last July 22.
Murder charges have been filed against Delgra before the Bacoor prosecutor’s office.
Delgra was identified by Robert Ryan’s partner from a footage taken by a closed-circuit television camera installed near the crime scene.
Senior Superintendent Jose Esquivel, Cavite police director, said investigators are eyeing a love angle as the motive for the killing.
“We are waiting for the arrest warrant. We believe the suspect is still in Cavite,” case investigator Police Officer 3 Michael Legaspi told The STAR.
