MANILA, Philippines - In partnership with Blue Water Consultancy, CORE is involved in the World Peace Vase Program, of which the Philippines is one of the chosen recipients for the burial of peace vases.
Blue Water has started the deployment of peace vases in places like the Tubbataha Reef, Batangas, Northern Sierra Madre Natural Park, and the Apo Reef.
The program involves deploying 6,000 Tibetan peace vases or “terbum,” filled with medicine, a precious substance and mantras. The vases are traditionally used by Tibetan Buddhists to protect important places from misfortune and promote positive healing energies.
Each of the 6,000 vases in the program has been consecrated by spiritual leader Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
This year, other places lined up for the program are Mt. Apo, Palaui Island, Loon in Bohol, Tacloban City, and Mati City in Davao Oriental. CORE (www.coreasia.org) is supporting the deployment; it even had a showcase of the peace vases at the ROX Store in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig last month before these were deployed. Palaui Island is also a recipient of the Buhay-Dagat project supported by CORE.
