MANILA, Philippines - The state weather bureau maintained the "orange" heavy rainfall warning over Metro Manila and nine nearby provinces it issued early Wednesday as Typhoon "Glenda" continued to batter Luzon with strong winds and heavy rains.
The second rainfall warning was issued at 9:30 a.m. Orange means 15 to 30 millimeter rainfall volume was observed for an hour and "flooding is threatening."
The warning is also issued for the provinces of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales.
As of this posting, PAGASA's last advisory was that the typhoon's eye was already over Tagaytay City.
Yellow, meanwhile, was issued for the province of Quezon.
The areas mentioned were directly hit by the typhoon as it crossed Luzon.
As of this posting, the eye of the typhoon was over Bataan province.
