Another cloud seeding for Angat Dam

Dino Balabo - The Philippine Star

MALOLOS CITY, Philippines  – The National Power Corp. (Napocor) is preparing to conduct the second phase of cloud seeding operations over Angat Dam in Bulacan.

This came as the water level at the dam dropped to 162.41 meters as of 8 a.m. yesterday. The cloud seeding operation is expected this week.

Rodolfo German, general manager of Napocor’s Angat River Hydroelectric Power Plant, said they are hoping Typhoon Glenda would dump more rains over the Angat watershed when it makes landfall by tomorrow.

He said Napocor will spend P2.6-million for the cloud seeding. The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System spent a similar amount when it conducted cloud seeding in May.
