NORTH COTABATO, Philippines -- Three drunk men riding a motorcycle together were killed instantly in a head-on collision with another vehicle at dawn Saturday in a secluded stretch of a national highway in Aleosan town.
Senior Inspector Zian Paul Cubil, chief of the Aleosan municipal police, identified the three fatalities as Noli Catulong, and siblings Delbert and Delmer Vios.
The victims were on their way home from a drinking spree when they were hit by a still unknown vehicle while at a secluded stretch of the Cotabato-Davao Highway at the border of North Cotabato’s adjoining Aloesan and Midsayap towns.
Cubil said there is no witness that can help investigators identify what kind of vehicle rammed the motorcycle.
“The driver of that vehicle did not bother to stop and check on the three passengers of the motorcycle. The vehicle just sped away,” Cubil told reporters.
He said all the three victims died on the spot.
