6 SAF men, soldier hurt in NPA clash

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – At least six police Special Action Force (SAF) commandos and a soldier were wounded in an encounter with at least 30 New People’s Army (NPA) rebels in the hinterlands of Toril district this city Tuesday night, the military said.

The clash, which lasted for 30 minutes, took place at the foot of Mt. Talomo, the Armed Forces’ Eastern Mindanao Command said.
