Pia Lee-Brago - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A low-pressure area (LPA) has entered the Philippine area of responsibility but is not expected to intensify and affect any part of the country, the weather bureau said yesterday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was estimated at 475 kilometers east-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or 685 kms east of Baler, Aurora.

Although the LPA is not expected to affect any part of the country, PAGASA said the general public and disaster risk reduction and management councils are advised to be on alert and monitor the weather disturbance.
