MANILA, Philippines - A security guard was shot dead by his fellow guard as they were about to change shifts in Makati City, Thursday morning.
Senior Superintendent Manuel Lukban, Makati police chief, said security guards Dante Bacalan and Allan Quides, both employed by the Solaiman security agency where about to change shifts guarding the Urban Bank at the corner of Durban Street and Makati Avenue in Barangay Poblacion at about 6:58 a.m. when the shooting happened.
An initial report said that Bacalan Bacalan drew his service .38 caliber revolver and fired at Quides after having an argument. Quides instantly died of a gunshot wound in the chest.
Responding policemen arrested Bacalan and recovered the .38 caliber revolver from him.
Bacalan is now detained at the Makati Police headquarters as charges are being readied against him.
