BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – A former councilor of Ilog town in Negros Occidental was gunned down by motorcycle-riding men last Tuesday night, police said.
Inspector Renante Salgado, Ilog police chief, said the victim, Edmund Turk Vail Sr., a three-term councilor, was having drinks with two companions in a store when he was shot several times.
At the time of his death, Vail was also the general manager of the Dancalan Ilog Water District and president of the Dancalan Private Academy.
