Bukidnon cult leader nabbed for ‘raping’ 2 girls
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Police arrested the leader of a cult in San Fernando town in Bukidnon Saturday for allegedly raping young members of his group.
Inspector Joann Galvez, Bukidnon police spokesperson, said Felipe Rivera, 53, tagged as the founder and leader of the Philippine Reformation Catholic Church, was arrested based on two warrants issued by Judge Isobel Barroso of the Malaybalay City Regional Trial Court Branch 8.
The case against Rivera stemmed from complaints filed last October by two girls aged 11 and 15 who alleged that they were sexually molested a total of nine times.
Galvez said Rivera’s group is not registered as a religious group.
