Sandiganbayan sets P30K bail vs Bong, JPE, Jinggoy
MANILA, Philippines - The Sandiganbayan has set a bail of P30,000 for each count of graft case against senators Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., Jinggoy Estrada, and Juan Ponce Enrile.
The anti-graft court said that Revilla has been slapped with 16 graft cases by the Office of the Ombudsman regarding the P10 billion pork barrel scam.
Revilla would have to shell out some P480,000 for his temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, Enrile is facing 15 counts of graft charges before the anti-graft court. He would be P450,000 poorer when he posts bail.
The Ombudsman, on the other hand, Estrada will be shelling out P330,000 as bail for his 11 counts of graft before the Sandiganbayan.
Aside from the three legislators, the Ombudsman also filed graft cases against some of their staff, some personnel of Department of Budget and Management, and officials of National Agribusiness Corp. and Technology Resource Center.
Earlier, the Ombudsman had filed plunder charges against before the anti-graft court against the three senators and several others, including businesswoman Janet Napoles, the alleged brains behind the pork barrel scam.
