Bus vs bus in Quezon City: 16 hurt

MANILA, Philippines - Sixteen people were hurt in a collision between two passenger buses in Quezon City, Tuesday morning.

A radio report said that a speeding Nova Auto Transport bus slammed the rear of a Fermina Express bus near the Fairview General Hospital along Commonwealth Avenue.

The Fermina bus driver told investigators that he was on the second lane of the highway when the Nova bus hit his vehicle, the report said.

A 60-kilometer per hour speed limit is being implemented on Commonwealth Avenue, which was labeled as a "killer highway" because of several fatal accidents

All of the injured victims were passengers of the Nova bus. They were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center.

Traffic investigators are still looking into the accident.
