ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – An alleged finance officer of the New People’s Army (NPA) was captured in Aurora town in Zamboanga del Sur on Saturday, police reported yesterday.
Maris Muñoz was arrested in Barangay Poblacion for the crime of rebellion, said Senior Inspector Joseph Ortega, spokesman for the Police Regional Office 9.
Ortega said Muñoz was the finance officer of the NPA Western Mindanao Revolutionary People’s Command.
Muñoz is currently detained at the Aurora police headquarters.
