1 student killed, 3 hurt in Pangasinan road mishap

MANILA, Philippines - An elementary student was killed while three others were injured after a van accidentally rammed a tricycle used as a school service in Pangasinan on the first day of class on Monday.

Police said the still unidentified grade 1 student, was rushed to a hospital but doctors could no longer revive the victim.

The two of the three other victims of the road accident were a Grade 6 and Grade 7 students, police said.

Initial reports showed that a Besta van, driven by Rogelio Hufana , barangay chairman of Inmalog Sur, San Fabian, Pangasinan, accidentally hit a tricycle driven by Rafe Dismaya, along Osmena Road, Brgy. Angio around 12:30 p.m.

The victims were all on board the tricycle,  used as a school service, when the accident happened.
