Dennis Carcamo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Around 17 people were hurt after a passenger bus rammed another bus in Quezon City Monday morning.

A radio report said that the injured passengers of Joyselle Express bus and Everlasting bus were brought to the East Avenue Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

The report said that the driver of the Joyselle bus, Narciso Binlo, was about to stop at the Central loading bay along Commonwealth Avenue when the vehicle's engine suddenly halted.

The driver of the Everlasting bus, which was at rear of the stalled vehicle, did not have enough time to brake, ramming the back of Joyselle bus, the report added.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
