Napolcom moves to new building in QC
MANILA, Philippines - The National Police Commission (Napolcom) will be moving to its new building in Quezon City late this month.
In an announcement Wednesday, the Napolcom said its operations will be transferred from its old Makati office to the DILG-NAPOLCOM Center, located at EDSA corner Quezon Avenue, West Triangle, Quezon City starting on May 26.
Napolcom Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Eduardo Escueta said that the newly constructed 27-storey government office building is situated 200 meters away from the Quezon Avenue MRT station.
The official transfer of Napolcom central office facilities and personnel is from May 26 to July 25, 2014 with the following schedule: May 26-30, Installations and Logistics Service (16th Floor) and Information Technology Management Division, Planning and Research Service (20th Floor); June 2-6, Office of Comr. Luisito Palmera and Office of the Chief, PNP (17th Floor) and Crime Prevention and Coordination Service (15th Floor); June 9-13, Office of Comr. Alejandro Urro (17th Floor) and Legal Affairs Service (12th Floor);
June 16-20, Office of Comr. Constancia de Guzman (17th Floor) and Financial Service and Office of the Resident Auditor (15th Floor); June 23-27, Planning and Research Service (16th Floor) and Cash Section, Public Information Division, National Appellate Board and NAPOLCOM Employee’s Association (7th Floor); July 1-11, Personnel and Administrative Service (14th Floor) and Medical/Dental Clinic and Library (9th Floor); July 14-18, Inspection, Monitoring and Investigation Service (12th Floor); July 21-25, Office of the Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer, Secretariat and Staff of the Office of the Chairman (18th Floor).
Escueta said the Napolcom will be sharing the new building with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) which transferred in June last year.
The Napolcom will be exclusively occupying the 7th, 12th, 14th to 18th floors of the building while the DILG occupies the 10th, 11th, 19th, 21st to 26th floors.
Both the DILG and Napolcom will be sharing the 8th, 9th, 20th and 27th floors where the multi-purpose hall with lounge area, function and training rooms, medical and dental clinic, library, and information technology center are located.
The DILG-Napolcom Center has a cafeteria and an executive lounge. It also has a roofdeck, a helipad and an eight-level parking area which can accommodate 250 vehicles.
