1 dead, 2 hurt in Makati grenade blast
MANILA, Philippines - One was killed while two others were injured after a man threw a grenade near a house in Makati City on Tuesday.
Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Lukban said that Joseph Teodones was killed instantly by the blast while two others- one identified as Helen de Ocampo--were brought to the Osptal ng Makati for treatment.
Initial investigation showed that a still unidentified man wearing a bonnet lobbed a handgrenade in the West Rembo area in Makati around 9 a.m. and landed near no. 37, Phase 2, Teacher's Compound.
After the blast, the suspect escaped from the scene on foot, the report said.
Police are still looking into the incident.
