MANILA, Philippines - Two persons were killed after a wall of a warehouse in Quezon City collapsed Monday night, burying six passenger jeepneys.
Initial police reports said that the victims Norma Magada,44; and Robin Leuterio, 22, jeepney driver, were in the area of Malasimbo Street, Barangay Masambong around 8:30 p.m. when one of the walls of L.G. Atkinson's warehouse gave way.
Rescuers recovered Leuterio's body in the rubble while Magada's cadaver was found inside one of the buried jeepneys.
Reports said that the building was undergoing renovation when the accident happened.
Authorities are now looking into the possible filing of charges against the owner of the warehouse.
