MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 3.2 earthquake rattled the town of Capoocan in Leyte yesterday, but authorities said no damage was reported.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor occurred at 9 a.m. with its epicenter traced at seven kilometers northwest of Capoocan.
The quake was reportedly felt at Intensity 2 in Capoocan, a fourth class municipality with a population of 29,834.
Phivolcs said aftershocks were not expected. It said quakes with magnitude three to four are “very feeble†and are only felt near the epicenter.
