LTFRB suspends 5 buses for Quezon road mishap

MANILA, Philippines - The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board on Friday ordered the suspension of the bus firm whose unit figured in a fatal accident in Quezon province.

The Board issued a 30-day suspension order against the five units of Raymond Bus company covered by the Certificate of Public Convenience, a report said.

The suspension order will stop the operation of the units which ply the Camarines Sur to Cubao, Quezon City route, the report added.

On Wednesday, a Raymond bus bumped a 10-wheeler truck while speeding along the Diversion Road, Brgy. Lalig, Tiaong, Quezon province.

Two persons, including a three-year-old girl, died instantly while 13 others were injured during the road mishap.
