MMDA issues Pasig River ferry service fare matrix

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Thursday came out with a fare matrix for the Pasig River Ferry Service.

The fare matrix has been approved by Pasig Rivery Ferry System's tripartite committee, composed of representatives from the  MMDA, the Department of Transportation and Communications, and the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission.

Under the matrix, from the Pasig River Ferry station in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City to  Guadalupe, Makati City, a passenger will shell out P50.

A P50-fare is also charged to ferry riders from Guadalupe to PUP, Sta. Mesa, Manila, Guadalupe to Escolta, Manila, and Guadalupe to Plaza Mexico also in Manila.

Meanwhile , ferry passengers will be charged P30 for a ride from PUP station to Escolta and from Escolta to Plaza Mexico.

The committee has yet to come out with the discounts for students, senior citizens, children and persons with disabilities.
