TIAONG, Quezon, Philippines – Two passengers, including a three-year-old girl, were killed while 13 others sustained injuries when their bus collided with a 10-wheeler truck along a bypass road here before dawn yesterday, authorities said.

Police identified the fatalities as three-year-old Precious Denise Siruma of Valenzuela City, and 25-year-old Niel Tabuzo of Camarines Sur. Their remains were brought to the Ace Funeral Homes.

The 13 injured, including children and elderly, were brought to the Lucena Doctor’s Hospital and San Pablo Hospital for medical treatment.

The truck driver, identified as Jesus Granada, fled the scene after the incident, but later gave himself up to the Calamba City police in Laguna.
