2 dead, 13 hurt in Quezon road mishap

MANILA, Philippines - Two persons were killed while 13 others were injured after a passenger bus was accidentally bumped by a 10-wheeler truck in Quezon province before dawn Wednesday.

A radio report said that three-year-old Precious Denice de Roma and another still unidentified passenger of a Raymond Bus died instantly during the accident.

The report said that the passenger bus, bound for Manila, was speeding around 12:30 a.m. along Diversion Road, Brgy. Lalig, Tiaong, Quezon when the truck travelling the opposite direction hit its side.

Authorities are now in the custody of the bus driver while the truck driver has fled the scene.

Police are still investigating the accident.
