TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Fire of still unknown origin razed the public market of Ilagan City, Isabela’s capital, on midnight Tuesday.
Citing reports, Senior Superintendent Sotero Ramos Jr., Isabela police director, said the fire started at the electronic and dry good stalls and quickly spread to other sections of the public market.
Authorities were still determining the extent of losses.
Mayor Jose Marie Diaz offered temporary shelter to some 50 families affected by the blaze. No one was hurt in the incident.
