MANILA, Philippines - Authorities have recently arrested a suspected member of an organized crime syndicate in Maguindanao, police said.
Police identified the suspect as Tahir Abubakar, an alleged member of the Al Khobar extortion group.
Abubakar was nabbed by combined members of police and military personnel who were armed with an arrest warrant last April 29 in Buluan, Maguindanao, according to Chief Superintendent Lester Camba, Police Regional Office -12 director.
Camba said Abubakar has a bounty of P400,000 for the series of bombing incidents in Mindanao.
Abubakar is now under the custody of President Quirino municipal police in Sultan Kudarat.
