MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 5.4 quake shook the province of Ilocos Norte yesterday but did not cause any damage, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 169 kilometers northwest of Burgos town at around 8:43 a.m. It was reportedly felt at Intensity 2 in Laoag City.
Although no damage to property was expected, Phivolcs warned residents of aftershocks.
