LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – At least 38 passengers were injured when a Quezon City-bound bus of Cagsawa Travel and Tours rammed a talisay tree along the Andaya Highway in Del Gallego, Camarines on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The bus driven by Alejandro Reyes, 53, skidded while descending a slippery curve during a heavy downpour and eventually hit the tree, said Inspector Malou Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.
Twenty-four of the passengers suffered slight injuries and 14 others were brought to the Ma. Eleazar District Hospital in Tagkawayan, Quezon.
