MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) spotted east of Catarman, Northern Samar has dissipated, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Thursday morning.
The agency said this in an advisory issued at 7:30 a.m., but it did not state if another weather disturbance is approaching the country.
In its earlier weather forecast, PAGASA said the easterlies continue to affect Luzon and Visayas and the whole country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the east will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the east to northeast over Mindanao.
PAGASA added that the coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
