MANILA, Philippines - Two persons were wounded after they were ambushed by unidentified gunmen in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday.
A radio report said that a man and a female companion were rushed to a nearby hospital due to gunshot wounds after they were fired on while on board a black Toyota Altis car at the corner of Taluntong Street and Barangka Drive, Brgy. Malamig, Mandaluyong City.
Both the windshield and glass of the passenger side of the car which has a PNPA plate were shattered after being riddled with bullets, the report said.
A traffic enforcer said he heard a volley of gunshots then saw motorcycle riding men speeding away from the area.
Police investigator have cordoned off the site which was littered with empty shells of firearms of still unknown caliber, the report added.
