Jun Elias - The Philippine Star

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union, Philippines    â€“ A man and his two sons were arrested for alleged illegal possession of firearms following a raid on their house in Bagulin town yesterday morning.

Mateo Yapas Sr. and his sons Mateo Jr. and Dominador were taken to the police station after police officers found a shotgun, a carbine, a caliber .38 pistol and several bullets in their house in Barangay Dagup, said La Union police director Senior Superintendent Ramon Rafael.

“There were complaints of alleged indiscriminate firing against the suspects, so we applied for a search warrant. We are now checking on their alleged involvement in criminal activities in the province,” Rafael said.
