MANILA, Philippines - The four policemen who processed the blotter entry of the attempted rape complaint against TV host-actor Vhong Navarro have been recommended for suspension for 20 days without pay for an administrative case against them.
The decision came after the investigation by the Office Director of the Internal Affairs Service of the Philippine National Police on the case of serious neglect of duty against Police Senior Inspector Eduardo Alcantara, Police Officer 3 Dalmacio Lumiuan Jr., Police Officer 3 Eugene Pugal and Police Officer 3 Rolly Laureto.
The four Southern Police District officers were present at the District Investigation and Detection Management Division office on the night of January 22 when Navarro was brought in to sign his blotter entry on the complaint of model Deniece Cornejo.
During their suspension, the four cops will not be receiving their salaries, the IAS decision said.
The recommendation will be forwarded to the National Capital Region Police Office.
