MANILA, Philippines - Heavy traffic is expected this weekend in the metropolis as the Department of Public Works and Highways undertake road repairs along Edsa, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.
In an advisory, the MMDA said the DPWH will undertake road reblocking and repairs on the following areas from 10 p.m. of April 11 (Friday) until 5 a.m. of April 14 (Monday):
SOUTHBOUND:
- Along EDSA in front of Urdaneta Village, Ayala (5th lane), Makati City.
- Along EDSA between Pasay road and Magallanes (5th lane), Makati City.
- Along EDSA between Taft Avenue and Park Avenue (5th lane), Pasay City.
- Along EDSA before Aurora Tunnel (5th lane), Quezon City.
NORTHBOUND:
- Along EDSA before J.P. Rizal ramp (4th lane), Makati City.
The MMDA advises motorists to use alternate routes during the repair works.
All roads will be fully passable by Monday morning, the MMDA said.
