Fire hits noodle factory

MANILA, Philippines  - A noodle factory in Pasig City partially burned for almost 30 minutes early Saturday and left almost P5 million in damages.

Fire Officer 1 Marvic Amazona of the Pasig Fire Station said the factory located along Market Avenue caught fire at about 6:30 a.m.

The blaze then reached the first alarm at 6:35 a.m and was placed under control by responding firefighters at 6:55 a.m.

The blaze was out out by 7 a.m. with no reported deaths or injuries.

"It was not a big fire but it razed the factory's noodle making machine which was valued at about P5 million," said Amazona.

Amazona said investigators are still looking at the possible causes of the fire.
